Annotating the Taiwan cash open without rushing
A twelve-minute quiet period, two volume nodes from the prior day, and why silence beats a shopping list of setups.
Several coaching clients who trade Taiwan listed names share the same early habit: they enter within minutes because overnight news feels urgent. Volume at the open is often noise mixed with genuine initiative.
A quieter open routine
Before the bell, mark the prior day’s highest-volume node and the overnight range extremes. For the first twelve minutes, annotate only — no orders. Ask whether volume is expanding into those levels or fading as price tags them.
If initiative appears, it usually shows as a second wave of volume that holds a reclaim, not as the first print of the day. That observation is ordinary; the discipline is waiting long enough to see the second wave.
Why we teach it this way
The open walkthrough lesson exists so participants can hear this timing spoken aloud while bars form. Reading about patience is easy; sitting through twelve quiet minutes with someone else narrating the tape makes the cost of early entries harder to ignore.
